Don Hanratty
As CEO of Optîmance and founder and managing partner of The Career Control Group, Don has acquired over 25 years of experience in career and management consulting. As a leader and active participant within industry organizations, Don was a founding member of the International Association of Career Management Professionals and, during The Career Control Group's affiliation with Outplacement International, he was twice elected as board member and vice president. Don currently serves on the board of Career Partners International (CPI), the world's most powerful partnership of career development firms.
Don’s most recent accomplishment is the publication of his two books, Career Continuation: Make It a SNAPP and Manage Your Own Career: Make It a SNAPP, which he co-authored with Ron Biagi and Tresa Eyres. These books are designed to help individuals gain control of their careers in today’s market by combining goal setting, planning and implementation with career management skills, as well as assessment tools, templates, real-life examples and insider information from leading career counselors, CEOs, corporate training specialists and management consultants.
Don serves on committees and boards of a number of charity and civic organizations including several universities and local high schools. His active charity involvement includes Dallas for Children, Special Olympics, Crystal Charity Ball, Stars Foundation, and the Catholic Foundation. Additionally, he provides support to a number of other organizations including the Salesmanship Club, the Family Place, and the American Ireland Fund. Don is an active member of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce and served as former Chairman of the City of Richardson Civil Service Board.
Don received his Bachelor degree in Business Administration & Accounting from Quincy University and his Master and Doctorate degrees in Personnel and Guidance Counselor Education from Western Illinois University and Mississippi State University.
Jim Davidson
Jim Davidson is the Managing Director for Career Services and has been at Optimance since 2001 in a variety of positions. His international background in General Management and Human Resources provides a strong foundation for management consulting and client operations. Prior to joining Optîmance, Jim held senior management positions on three continents before moving into a global role where he assumed responsibility within a non profit organization developing business and services in over forty countries. He then directed the realignment of training and organizational development for the North American and European division of another international corporation. His reputation for managing change and developing people and organizations make him a valuable addition to the team.
Born in Scotland, Jim holds a BA degree from Strathclyde University, Scotland and a MPA from Grand Valley State University and holds multiple certifications. He is active in community organizations, international associations and local educational organizations.
